Happy Birthday Doc!

Happy Birthday Doc!

The JPMFAA wishes to acknowledge the upcoming 90th birthday of one of our faithful members, Raymond “Doc” Jeffress! Mr. Jeffress provided great assistance on our 2013 Mill/Forestry exhibit committee, and continues to assist us in preserving the historical and cultural heritage of the parish every day. His wealth of knowledge and generosity in donating memorabilia and artifacts has been a key factor in our museum’s growth.

Happy Birthday, Doc!

Remembering Friends of the Arts

This week we are remembering some valued friends of JPMFAA: Alyce Colvin, Jack Bond, and Tommy Dean Hearne. Mrs. Colvin and Mrs. Hearne were charter members of the museum, and Mr. Bond was a JPMFAA member for many years. They are greatly missed. We are thankful to have known them, and seek to continue their fine legacies of promoting arts and culture in Jackson Parish.
